We support over 300 migrant children through nutritious meals, educational activities, and teacher support, helping create a safe and encouraging environment where children can learn, grow, and belong.
For more than a decade, Good Shepherd Phuket Town Centre has provided education, care, and opportunity to migrant children and families living in Phuket, Thailand.
Founded under the leadership of Sister M. Lakana Pauline Sukhsuchit, the centre was created to support vulnerable migrant communities, many of whom face barriers to education, healthcare, legal services, and social support.
Today, the centre supports more than 300 migrant children from Myanmar and neighbouring communities, creating a safe environment where children can learn, grow, and build brighter futures.
Peak Humanity is proud to support this ongoing mission through monthly contributions that help strengthen the centre’s educational programmes, daily meal provision, and community initiatives.
Supporting Migrant Communities
Many migrant families arrive in Thailand seeking safety, stability, and employment opportunities. However, children often face significant barriers to accessing education and essential services.
Without support, many children risk being excluded from learning opportunities and are more vulnerable to poverty, exploitation, and long-term disadvantage.
Through education, nutrition, and community support, Good Shepherd helps ensure children have the opportunity to learn, develop confidence, and pursue a brighter future.
Every meal served represents more than food on a plate.
It represents a child arriving at school ready to learn. It represents a teacher able to focus on education rather than worrying about whether students have eaten. It represents a family knowing their child is spending the day in a safe and supportive environment.

Every month, support from Peak Humanity helps create stability, opportunity, and hope for more than 300 migrant children attending Good Shepherd Phuket Town Centre.

Stories From The Centre
“Parents tell us their children now come home excited to tell stories and sing songs from class,” shares Sister Lakana.
One story in particular stands out.
"A little boy from a construction camp family used to be shy and silent.
Through the learning activities supported by Peak Humanity, he slowly gained confidence.
One day he read his first Thai word out loud — and now he enjoys reading to his younger sister every evening. "

More than a decade after opening its doors, Good Shepherd Phuket Town Centre continues to provide education, support, and opportunity to migrant children and their families.
